Traditionally we take soba soup on New Year’s Eve in Japan. But I didn’t so yesterday as I enjoyed a lot of fish. My mother gave me the noodles and other ingredients she made for lunch.

I got new rice balls and cups in smaller size than ones I’ve used. It’s fun to try a new setting.
Rice is white, so colored or black ball is good. White looks whiter and glossier, the color gets more vivid.

I saw a powerful young swimmer in my swimming pool. I watched her how to swim in the water. Her stroke is very dynamic and beautiful like a dolphin.

I like to have red wine with Sukiyaki stew “Nikujaga”. Though this time I use sake as seasoning for it, my recipe prefers replacing it into red wine. It naturally calls red wine to be accompanied with the dish.
